Condolence: My deepest condolences to Les's family and friends.

I got the sad news early the other morning and the tears are still flowing. In the 80s I moved to Thunder Bay and had the great fortune to meet Les and be welcomed into his magical world.
Les introduced me to the beauty of the area and the varied landscapes that he knew and loved. We were close partners for over a decade and one that is filled with so many good memories.
I will always remember with great fondness his kind hearted family who treated me like one of their own and a spirited clan of wonderful friends full of story and song. When I think of Les what comes to mind is his mom's happy disposition and family dinners, camper vans, back roads ,canoe fishing, travels , laughter, passion and of course the foreground was always the sound of his guitar & voice singing with such sweet sincerity . Hearing the original harmonies between Les and Don Clarke sent shivers down my spine , or how lifted he would feel from jamming with friends or in bands with Dan, Jaci , Peter, Rodney and so many others . We will continue to learn from Les through the soul music that he left us .

My family in Winnipeg felt the shockwaves and asked that I send you their sincere condolences . My family love Les very much. My dad said Les was always such a gentleman, and that , he truly was.

I'm out of town at this time but with you in spirit & support. A sacred ceremony is being held this weekend and prayers will be said for Les's journey and for all of you who feel the loss.

We are so lucky to have known Les with his gentle , super sensitive soul with that mischievous glean in his eye! His spirit came through his passionate music , peaceful paintings and unique earthy creativity. He lived by example high principles and truly walked so softly upon the earth.

I am so glad that Les was able to have fulfilled his dream of living in the country . Now he is a free bird , flying high , and will never again will feel illness or the weight of this world on his tender heart.

Today I saw something of a mirage that my girlfriend also witnessed. It looked like a perfect huge sheltering tree with ocean ,mountains and wispy colourful clouds in the background . It appeared for only a brief moment in the sky and then I realized it was exactly as an image that would be painted by Les, only now he has a much larger canvas. I could almost hear his laughter . I have a feeling we will be hearing from him yet.

Blessings and love to the Henderson's , Tina & family, and all Les's friends & loved ones . Thank you for sharing your life with us Les . I will cherish your memory always . You will live on with love , always in our heart's song ❤️

Condolence: I have a lot of great memories of Les. We crossed path throughout our lives for different reasons the first being Kathleen and Scott. I have really enjoyed the past several days listening and watching Les's videos. I will always remember when Les was helping to build the camp on Portage Bay Road when ever it was break time Vaughn who was very young at the time would find a spot right beside Les and they would sit and say very little. Vaughn was drawn to Les's gentle way.
