Mrs. Jean  Urbanski
Mrs. Jean Cecile Urbanski, age 84 years of Pioneer Ridge, formerly of N. Syndicate Ave., passed away with family by her side on Tuesday, July 1, 2008.

Born in Poland, Jean came to Canada as a young child. She spent many years working as a department supervisor at Northwood Park Plaza’s - Zellers. Jean was a member of St. Casimir’s R.C. Church, the Ladies Auxiliary and the Royal Canadian Legion Polish Branch #149. She particularly enjoyed the camp that she and her husband Edward built at One Island Lake. Her home and family, especially her grandchildren, were her main focus.

She is survived by Edward her husband of 61 years; two daughters Diana (John) Ylimaki and Valerie Polson; four grandchildren Amy (Scott), Tanis, Ryan and Kara; sister Helen Rogozinski as well as other family members also survive.

Predeceased by her son-in-law Don Polson (2007); sister Agnes Golab and brother Jack Pinski.

Funeral services for the late Mrs. Jean Urbanski will be held on Friday, July 4, 2008 with family and friends gathering at St. Casimir Roman Catholic Church for the Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM celebrated by Fr. Andrew Deptula, O.F.M. Conv. Interment to take place in St. Andrew’s R.C. Cemetery at a later date. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday evening (TONIGHT) after 6:00 PM in the EVEREST FUNERAL CHAPEL, 299 Waverley St. at Algoma with Vigil Prayers offered at 7:00 PM in the Chapel.
