Mr. Harry George  Yaremko
It is with deep sorrow that the family of Harry Yaremko announces that he passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, May 22, 2012.

Harry is survived by and will be missed by his loving wife Berta of 68 years; sister Irma McLeod; son Nestor and wife Sandra of Calgary Alberta; daughter Gail of Kelowna, BC; grandsons Rick (Cheryl) and Troy (Dianne) and great grandchildren Courtney, Dylon, Gabrielle and Christine. He was predeceased by his parents Katherine and John , sister Irene, and brother Nestor.

Harry was born in Dauphin, Manitoba, August 01, 1922. Harry was a long time resident of the Lakehead, and during the course of his life he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and the great outdoors. He served his country during WWII in the United Kingdom, Continental Europe and in the North Pacific from 1942 to 1946 in the Canadian Infantry Corps. Toward the end of the European conflict his older brother Nestor was killed in action 1945.
He was a longtime supporter of the work of the First Baptist Church. For a period in his life he helped build our community as a general masonary contractor. During the latter part of his working life, he was employed with the City of Thunder Bay in the Maintenance Department. When retired Harry and Berta enjoyed the delights of winter in Arizona.
Harry will be missed by all of his family and friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2012 at 10:00AM in the EVEREST FUNERAL CHAPEL, 299 Waverley St. at Algoma. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to service time.
