The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Mr. James "Jim" Harkema can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

I am so sorry to hear of your dear husbands passing. Shirley emailed me. We both use to come over to keep an eye on you and your brothers on Empire Ave. I look back on those days and laugh how silly we were then.
I have been friends with Shirley since we were 4 years of age. Now we feel like sisters.. Your in my prayers Rena and in time it will get easier. I am going into my 2nd year with out Chuck come Oct 15 th. After 60 years. It is one day or minute at a time.
