Obituary for Mrs. Marion Rebecca Pearl Budnik (Seargeant)

MARION BUDNIK

The family of Mrs. Marion Rebecca Pearl Budnik (nee Seargeant), age 91 years, announces her peaceful passing in Pinewood Court on Thursday, April 19, 2018.

Marion was born on April 25, 1926 in Murillo and she was educated locally. On May 16, 1952 she married William Budnik and four days later, they opened Budnik's Meats & Groceries on W. Francis Street. Upon retirement, in 1984, they moved out to Scotland Street and enjoyed travelling all over Canada, the United States and Ukraine to visit family. They also loved spending time at their camp. Marion's faith was important to her and she was an intricate part of her church family. She will be deeply missed by her family and many friends.

Marion is survived by her son Paul (Holly) and two granddaughters, Christie (Jason) and Wendy as well as her great-grandsons Brayden, Johnathan and Carson. Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

She was predeceased by her husband, Bill as well as her parents and numerous siblings.

The family would like to thank the staff of Hummingbird Wing at Pinewood Court for their dedicated care and the comfort provided to Mom over the years.

A private family graveside service was held in Mountainview Cemetery. A Celebration of Marion's Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Alzheimer Day Program through St. Joseph's Care Group would be greatly appreciated.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Westfort Chapel, 420 West Gore Street at James.
