The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Mr. William "Bill" Korrall can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Where to Begin

Where to begin!  With a life that was as rich, varied and adventurous as Bill’s there are more than enough tales and cherished memories to fill volumes.  Riding the train to Mexico, running  a hotel in the Kootenay’s, striving to make the monthly sales requirements at Dunn and Bradstreet in Vancouver, operating a fishing camp in B.C.  Running a combine with a harvest crew on the prairies, camping out in the middle of an enchanted forest on the shores of the Pacific, listening to the waves crash beneath the stars on a remote beach, arguing philosophical points of view until the sun rose on distant shores.  Bill was not one to wait for life to come to him – he sought out what was new and different because of his indomitable spirit of reaching out to new horizons, often with fearless abandon.  Bill’s friendship was as solid as the earth, and as limitless as the sky, seeded with laughter and a sense of humour that balanced what was at times a wild roller coaster ride on the rails of life.  What he was searching for only he knew, but in part it was a search for meaning, truth, and a continued appreciation of all that life had to offer.  He left this world to continue that search elsewhere, where I am certain he has a grand cosmic view, and a mischievous smile that says the journey has not ended, but for him, it has only just begun anew.
