Obituary for Mr. Lawrence Weldon Carey
Mr. Lawrence Weldon Carey, age 75 years, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, July 16, 2017.
Lawrence was born in Little Bras d'Or, Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. He worked for many years as a Seaman with Paterson Steamship Lines, until retirement in 1992.
He will be dearly missed by his daughter, Christine; six brothers and four sisters as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
The family would like to say thank you to all of his friends in Thunder Bay and a special mention to his buddy, George.
In accordance with Lawrence's wishes, cremation has taken place and he will be returned home to Cape Breton Island for a service and interment. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Westfort Chapel, 420 West Gore Street, Thunder Bay.
