Mr. Robert George, age 72 years, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 in Thunder Bay Regional Hospital.

Robert was born on December 2, 1944 in Toronto. He moved to Thunder Bay in 1987, finally settling in one place. He was fun-loving and had a great sense of humour. Next to his beloved wife Shirley, Bob loved to play cards (Bid-Whist being his favourite!). His family was his main priority and spending time with them was so important to him.

Bob is survived by his wife Shirley, children; Lynette, Cheryl, Lorrie (Brian – his best bud) Walker, Cherie, Cindy (David Patkau), Shelly (Robert) North; stepchildren, Greg (Dawn) Faulconer, Phil (Jodie) Faulconer, Derek (Jenn) Faulconer, Jennifer Hebert, Dean Barker, Aaron Barker and Amanda Barker; sister Eileen and his much-loved dog Patches. Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Predeceased by his son Robert Barbeau; wife Carol; friend Janet; parents, Evelyn and Percy George and siblings, Frank, Ray, Evelyn and Lilian.

Graveside Services for the late Mr. Robert George will be held on Friday, June 30, 2017 at 11:00 AM in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Everyone is welcome to join the family in the common room of 120 South Cumberland Street, 5th floor at 1:00pm for a time of fellowship.

Should friends so desire, donations to the Thunder Bay and District Humane Society or Avenue II would be greatly appreciated.
