Obituary for Mrs. Jacqueline Marie "Jackie" Lemieux (Shonosky)

Jacqueline Lemieux (Shonosky)
Sept. 10, 1966 - May 22, 2023

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our sister Jacqueline Lemieux. Jackie was strong in her fight against ALK-positive lung cancer.
In true Jackie form, she worked hard to educate people about this non-smoker mutation in a positive way. Jackie made connections with people.
She was kind and had a genuine way of making people feel special and important, but most of all heard. This helped her in her career as an independent business owner of an
Oxford Learning Center. Jackie loved her family. Being a stepmom to Brooke and Dilan was something that she cherished most. Being an Auntie, "Gracky" and Jamma
brought her so much joy, and she held these titles with pride. Family did not always have to be blood. Jackie made adoptions with friends that became her family.
Shaunessy and Michelle were her sisters from another mister and so many others. Jackie always looked for new experiences and ways to learn. She felt blessed to have
the luxury of living her dream of Ecuador, not in the full way she wanted due to illness, but it became part of her soul. Jackie leaves behind her stepkids, Brooke (Colin),
Dilan (Kristen), her step-grandkids Ava and Myla, her mother Adrianna, her brother Chris(Sherene), sister Cherie (Dave), many nieces and nephews and her husband Bernie.
It was Jackie's wish that there be no funeral. Jackie celebrated life with family and friends and in her words, "no boohooing." If friends desire donations can be made
to ALK cancer research #Hopearmy or spinal cord injury.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Simpler Times Cremation Centre, 575 Central Avenue, Thunder Bay.

To our beloved Jack,
We want to thank you for everything you have done for us over the years. You were an amazing person who taught us many valuable lessons over the years. Your positivity was
magnetic and drew everyone you encountered towards you. Always having unconditional love in your heart and acceptance for friends and family. A natural teacher with countless lessons
taught, searching for positivity was always your first thought. We will love you forever and you will always be in our hearts. This is not a goodbye it's a "ciao for now"
