Obituary for Mrs. Dorothy Pearl Komoski (Wiltshire)

It is with broken hearts that the family of Dorothy announce her passing on Wednesday, December 28, 2022.

Mom was born on January 19, 1930 in Fort William. She married Walter Komoski in 1948.

Dorothy was a remarkable woman who touched the lives of so many. She was an accomplished baker and seamstress. She enjoyed camping, fishing, blueberry picking and mushroom picking.

Most of all, Mom cherished her family and she will be greatly missed. She is survived by her children Lynn, Bill (Connie), Larry (Kerry), Deborah (Nadjib), Pat (Richard), Jane, Ron (Deb), Donna (Rob) and Susan (Stan), 17 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Also survived by her brother Gary Wiltshire and sister-in-law Bernice and Bill Pawliuk. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Dorothy was predeceased by her parents Hubert and Lila Wiltshire, her husband Walter, brother Don and sister-in-law Mabel, brother Bob and sister-in-law Grace, sister Lois and brother-in-law Jack Davidson.

The family would like to thank the staff of Sister Leila Greco Apartments, Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre Emergency Department, 2B and St. Joseph’s Hospital 2North for their care and concern for Mom.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 7th, 2023 at 11:30 am in the Slovak Legion, 801 Atlantic Ave., Thunder Bay. Cremation has already taken place and a private interment will be held at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Westfort Funeral Chapel, 420 West Gore Street at James.

If friends so desire, donations in memory of Dorothy may be made to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, Cardiac Care Unit or a charity of your choice.
