Obituary for Mrs. Edith Nora Liddicoat (Randle)

EDITH NORA LIDDICOAT

Mrs. Edith Nora Liddicoat (nee Randle), age 87 years, passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, May 9, 2022.

Edith was born on March 9,1935 in Scoble Township to Alexandra and Geraldine (nee O'Keith) Randle. She was educated locally and lived in Scoble all of her life. Edith met T. Wilbert “Webb” Liddicoat and they were married in July, 1958. Together, they started their family and Edith dedicated her life to taking care of their kids and home. She was proud of her and Webb's home and hobby farm in the country, helping with any chores necessary. They kept draft horses and competing in numerous pulling competitions. She was a member of the Thunder Bay Draft Horse Association. Edith loved gardening and always had fresh flowers displayed. She also enjoyed baking, pickling and playing Bingo. Above all else, Edith's family was her greatest passion and she loved spending time with all of them, especially with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Edith will be deeply missed by her sons Robert and Rodney and daughter Nora (Brian); grandchildren Janice (Cliff), Jennifer (Steve), Erin (Craig), Steven (Leora), Robert (Courtney) and Donald (Sarah); great-grandchildren Brandon (Becky), Melissa, Brittany, Jackson,, Lennox, Sadie, Serenity, Darcy, Quinn, Brady, Olivia and Aubrey and 3 great-great-children, Jace, Amelia and Conor. Mom always had a special love for Penny Liddicoat and Don (Wilty) Wiltshire. She is also survived by her sister Iris and brother Mervin; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband Wilbert; her parents, Alexandra and Geraldine Randle, sisters Mae and Gracie, brothers Leslie, Cecil and Richard.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2022 from 10:00am until 12:00pm in the WESTFORT CHAPEL, 420 West Gore Street at James. A graveside service will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. All are welcome to attend.
