Obituary for Ms. Myrna Fay Hansen
Ms. Myrna Hansen, age 76 years, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 in the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.
Myrna was born August 6, 1945 in Fort Frances, Ontario. Her main interests were her family, oil painting and fishing and she loved her oldies and goldies country music. She worked as a hairdresser and for a time, made faux wedding cakes for rentals which she very much enjoyed.
Myrna was a strong willed woman who, even throughout her health struggles had a smile on her face. She was also a member of the New Apostolic Church and enjoyed the time and friendships made there.
She will be greatly missed by her partner, Wayne Setala; her children, Royleen (Grant) Dupuis, Susan Caul (Roger), Carrie Lynne Couture , Donny Couture (Diane Caroll) and Jack Couture (Nadia Meneano); grandchildren, Tamara, James, Christina, Tiffany, Nicholas, Dakota, Kayla and Dylan; 4 great grandchildren and her beloved dog, Snowy.
Predeceased by husband, Brian Hansen; her mother Nellie Dumeny, son in-law Christopher Aitkens and her fur baby, Cassandra.
A Celebration of Myrna's life will be held in early summer 2022. A notice will be published. Arrangements have been entrusted to the EVEREST FUNERAL CHAPEL, 299 Waverley Street at Algoma.
