Obituary for Mr. Roland Fournier
Mr. Roland Fournier, age 65 years, passed away peacefully with family by his side on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 in Bethammi Nursing Home.
Roland was the best Christmas gift, born December 24, 1956 in Port Arthur to Carmel and Nazaire Fournier. The family relocated to Caramat, where Roland attended Geraldton Composite High School. Roland was a happy go-lucky guy who had a smile for everyone. He was so loved for his sense of humour and helpful nature. He was a member of the custodial staff at Bennetts Bakery and Sears, where he was proud to have the shiniest floors! Roland loved sports, he was a member of the Special Olympics playing floor hockey and bowling.
Survived by his mother, Carmel, siblings, Lorraine (Gilles) Daigle, Mary and Ralph; nieces and nephews Michelle (John), Danielle, Allan, Paul, Grace, Adrianna, Isaiah, Isabelle, Ashley and Nathan as well as numerous extended family and many friends.
Predeceased by his father, Nazaire.
A private service has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to the EVEREST FUNERAL CHAPEL, 299 Waverley Street at Algoma.
