Obituary for Mr. Robert Wayne Dudar

Robert Wayne Dudar
May 20,1955 - July 30, 2021

It is with deep sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of  Robert Wayne Dudar, age 66,  a lifelong resident of Thunder Bay on Friday, July 30, 2021.

Bob was predeceased by his wife, June, of 24 years,  sister Jeanette  and brother in law, Arvid Obie; infant sister Darlene and his mother and father, Lena and John Dudar.

Bob leaves behind his only surviving sibling, brother Paul Dudar of Thunder Bay. He also leaves behind his best friends, Joy Seargeant,  Christopher Pike and John Robichaud and many other  close friends, Carol Dee Krienke, Henia Glouzinski and Terri & Gerry Mehagen.

Bob was employed for many years at various jobs throughout the city, most notably 25+ years as a welder for Bombardier until he retired in May 2020.

His curiosity and fun loving nature lead  him to make many lifelong friends and he made new friends easily. He enjoyed  gaming, and  sharing his infinite wisdom, his poor jokes, his  laughter and awesome meals at Bob’s Diner. He was so very special to the many lives he touched.

He loved music, feeding his bird friends,  tending his little gardens and flower beds, butterflies, bargain shopping,   yard sales, and fishing. Whatever he created with his skilled hands turned out truly fabulous. His favourite muscle car was his 1970 Grand Torino and he was also very fond of vintage Honda motorcycles.

Bob’s door was always open and he was always eager to lend a helping hand or ear.  A kind heart and a huge soft spot under all the gruff. He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.

Cremation has taken place and a private interment memorial will be held at a later date. For those who wish, please donate to a cause of your choice or to the Lung Health Association of Ontario.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Westfort Chapel, 420 West Gore Street at James.
