Obituary for Mrs. Sharon Norma Adele Hayward (Kotala)

SHARON HAYWARD
Sharon Norma Adele Hayward (nee Kotala), age 65, resident of Thunder Bay
passed away March 19, 2021 at T.B.R.H.S.C. Born March 22, 1955 at P.A.G.H.,
she was raised in West Pearson. On August 11, 1973 she married Jerry Hayward
and resided South Gillies for many years. Survived by son Shane (Rachel),
daughter Sheri-Ann, Ben Mykulak, 6 grandchildren Brooke, Raine, Mary Jane,
Danielle, Aloura, Raye-Lynn, 1 great granddaughter, siblings Rodney (Elaine)
Kotala, Barbara (Brian Luoma), Kevin Kotala (Pat McFarlane), Melody Cloutier
(Gordon), Myron (Jenny) Kotala, Randy (Michelle) Kotala, sister and
brothers-in-law Marlene (Terry) Winters, Sharon (Rob) Randle, Wesley (Tammy)
Hayward, Reg (Lorraine) Hayward, numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by
husband Jerry-March 26, 2010, Parents Edward and Norma Kotala, father and
mother-in-law Jim and Myrtle Hayward. Sharon was independent, had a quick
wit and a down to earth personality. Sharon faced many life's challenges
rather fearlessly and had more than her share of health conditions. She
indeed had that Finnish "SISU". Sharon enjoyed cooking, camping and
crocheting. Sharon's occupation was cooking at various establishments in
Thunder Bay, Kakabeka Falls and Silver Mountain. She volunteered at Pinewood
Court for several years. At her request cremation has taken place, a private
graveside service will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens at a later date.
The family wishes to extend heartfelt gratitude to Nursing and PSW's from
Bayshore, Doctors and Health Care Professionals at TBRHSC, 3A, Renal Unit
for their kindness and care over the past several years. Arrangements have
been entrusted to Simpler Times Cremation Centre, 332 North May Street,
Thunder Bay.
