I grew up with Willie, Jay and Billy at Heath Park School.
I have happy memories of us and my girlfriends at that time playing baseball at Wayland Park.
I’ll never forget the enormous hip check Willie gave me as I ran the bases. It hurt like heck but still brings a smile to my face when I remember it.
I’m saddened that he is gone at such a young age.
My deepest sympathies to his family and good friends. ❤️ Doreen Holmes

So very sad to hear of Willie's passing. I first met Willie when he worked at the original LCBO (early 1980's) on Red River Rd. My friend, Al, worked there as well so a close friendship began with the three of us. We did a few "Road" trips to the states together and we had a great time for sure. We also did several trips to Al's camp out at Rita Lake. Lots of fun there. Condolences to Willie's family. Words cannot express how my wife and I feel.
