Charles Luscombe Bridgman
Charles Bridgman

It is with profound sadness that the family of Charles Bridgman, age 83 years, resident of Shuniah announce his passing on
Thursday, January 4, 2018 in TBRHSC.

At the age of 15 Charlie began working at Domtar Paper Mill in Red Rock. He worked there for over 40 years, retiring
as Superintendent in 1991. After retirement Charlie was fortunate to spend over 20 years winter vacationing in Arizona.

In the past seven years Charlie and Nancy enjoyed spending time together, including family gatherings (especially this past
Christmas), their hunting adventures and many trips to Grand Portage. They spent many hours maintaining their
beautiful yard and enjoying the fruits of their labour, including the apple pies and crisps that came from it.

Charlie was a proud man in every aspect of his life, this especially showed through in his many flower gardens that he cherished.

Charlie is survived by his loving wife Nancy, children Patrick (Chris), Cathy (John), Pam (Mario),
step-children Donna (Norman), Gary (Margie), Michele and Sandy (Craig). Grandchildren Shaunna, Crystle (Ryan),
Jesse (Chelsea), James, Jarren, Justin, step-grandchildren Dustin (Kristin), Derek (Laura), Mandy (Graham),
Samantha (Jake), Kari (Lanny), Chianne and 13 great grandchildren. Also survived by special nephews Len (Judy),
Jim (Dale), numerous other nieces and nephews, and his furry friend Corky.

Predeceased by his parents Amy and John, brother Sydney, sisters Patricia, Mae, Marjorie and Edna, great grandson
Liam, nephew Chuck and other family members.

The family would like to thank Dr. Lai for his many years of care, Dr. Sinnemaki his family doctor and also Dr. Mary McDonald.

As per Charlie's wishes there will be no service. If friends so desire, a donation in Charlie's name can be made to the
Canadian Diabetes Association or a charity of your choice.
