Obituary for Mr. Robert "Roger" Barry Ice (Twance)

Mr. Robert "Roger" Barry Ice (Twance)
Mr. Robert “Roger” Barry Ice (Twance), age 64 years, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 in Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, with his family by his side.

Roger was born in Hornepayne, Ontario on April 2, 1951. He worked as a Labourer for many years in the Forestry industry until his health forced him to retire. Roger enjoyed many activities, such as playing guitar and, in his younger years, scuba diving. His favourite past-time was meeting for coffee at Tim Hortons on Memorial. Roger's true passion was his family and friends. He was so in love with his wife, Wendy-Lee and so proud of his children and grandchildren. Roger was a sweet and gentle soul and was well loved by all who knew him.

Roger will be forever missed by his wife of 34 years, Wendy-Lee; three daughters, Tina, Dawn and Melody and a step-son, Michael. He is also survived by his sister Val, brother Keenan and numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives as well as his life-long friend, Paul Cheesequay.

He was predeceased by his mother and father and other family.

Funeral Services for the late Mr. Robert “Roger” Ice will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at 1:30PM in the WESTFORT CHAPEL, 420 West Gore Street at James. A private interment will take place at a later date. Should friends so desire, donations made in memory of Roger to the Thunder Bay and District Humane Society would be greatly appreciated.
