Obituary for Luigina Maria Zen

It is with great sadness we announce that Ms. Gina (Luigina) Zen, age 73 years, passed away
in Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 after a
lengthy illness.
Gina was born in Italy on July 15, 1942 and immigrated to Canada over 40 years ago.
She enjoyed spending time in her garden and with her 2 cats, knitting, playing cards and
reading.
Gina was predeceased by her parents Pia and Stanislao and her brother Angelo in Italy.
She will be lovingly remembered by her brothers Rinaldo and Orlando and her nieces and
nephews Donna (husband Philip), Ed, Mic, Jordan, David, Angela, Tizziana, Maurizia and
Marco as well as her great niece and nephew Alex and Sean.
The family would like to thank all the Doctors and Nurses in the IMCU unit at the
TBRHSC and her Personal Care Workers for all their care and compassion shown to Gina.
We would also like to thank her friends and neighbors who have helped her over the years.
With respect to Gina's wishes there will be a gathering of friends and family at 340 Foley Street
on Sunday, January 17th, 2016 between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
If friends so desire, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Simpler Times Cremation Centre, 332 North May Street,
Thunder Bay.
