Obituary for
Mrs. Cecile Marie Louise Irving (Tetreault)
Mrs. Cecile Irving, age 63 years, passed away peacefully in the arms of her family on Thursday, March 5, 2015 in Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.
Cecile was born on January 27, 1952 in St. Boniface, Manitoba the second of eleven children to Jean and Flora Tetreault. She grew up in Sioux Narrows, Ontario. After completing her schooling she moved to Thunder Bay. It was here that she met the love of her life, Brian, they were married in 1976 and together started their family. Cecile loved her family and raising her children. They loved camping together, some of their favourite places were Sibley, Sioux Narrows and on the McKenzie River. Slow pitch baseball was a big part of their life, Cecile was always there to watch and cheer at the games. She liked curling and more recently golfing, as she and Brian made numerous golf trips in the last few years. After their retirement, Cecile and Brian took many trips with extended stays to the East Coast of Canada, Arizona and Switzerland. Cecile had a strong faith, she was a member of St. Agnes Parish and volunteered as a greeter at the Church.
Cecile is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Brian; children Kevin (Diane) and Karen (Nico) Meyer; grandchildren Logan, Owen and one on the way; siblings Roger (Carol) Tetreault, Yvette Ricklefs, Lise (Russ) Wilson, Guy (Bernadette) Tetreault, Norman (Marsha) Tetreault, Marc Tetreault, Gilbert (Kathy) Tetreault, Carole Tetreault, Michelle (Joe) Mahy, Donna Tetreault (Rob Springett) and brother in-law Bruce (Bev) Irving. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives also survive.
She was predeceased by her parents, Jean and Flora Tetreault; parents in-law Joseph and Elizabeth Irving and brother in-law Marty Ricklefs.
Funeral services for the late Mrs. Cecile Irving will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 with family and friends gathering in St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church for the Funeral Mass at 12:10pm celebrated by Fr. James Panikulam. Arrangements have been entrusted to The Westfort Chapel, 420 West Gore Street at James.
