Obituary for Mrs. Ann Quesnel

It is with great sadness that the family of Ann Quesnel (nee Zelkovich) announces her passing on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 after a long, courageous battle with cancer.
Ann was born at home on Crawford Avenue and lived her whole life in Westfort. She spent her working life as a switchboard operator at the Royal Edward Hotel and the Valhalla Inn.
Never one to stay home, Ann loved going out with her many friends, playing cards, shopping, and attending Magnus Theatre. Her family never tired of hearing her say “Where should we eat lunch?” Before her illness, she loved travelling to Vancouver to see her son and daughter. Ann was a faithful member of St. Agnes’ Parish.
She was extremely proud of her grandchildren and their accomplishments, attending any activity they were involved in. She loved travelling to see them whenever they moved to another city.
Ann is survived by her children, Jerron (Bob) Fuchihara, Taylor Addams and Reg (Sun Rey) Quesnel. She was a loving Grandma to Mariko and Daryl Fuchihara, Kevin Quesnel, Carly Kitchener and Laurie Fuchihara. Great-Grandma to Kadin Quesnel. Grandma Ann to Kaz, Azariya, Steven, Kameko and Nathan. She is also survived by her twin sister Nellie, her brother Tony (Thelma) and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ann was predeceased by her parents Theodore and Mary, her sister Olive and her brothers Bill, John and Mike.
Although Ann loved flowers, the family respectfully declines them. We ask instead that you take someone you love to lunch.
Funeral Services for the late Mrs. Ann Quesnel will be held on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 with family and friends gathering in St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church for the Funeral Mass at 12:10PM celebrated by Fr. James Panikulam. Interment will follow in Mountainview Cemetery.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the WESTFORT CHAPEL, 420 West Gore Street at James.
