Mr. Jaroslaw "Jerry"  Iwanyszyn
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Jaroslaw “Jerry” Iwanyszyn on Sunday, November 25, 2012 in Roseview Manor, at the age of 87 years.

Jaroslaw was born in Krasne, Ukraine on June 20, 1925. He immigrated to Canada in 1950 and worked in the Bush Camps. In 1951 his wife and two children joined him. He retired from Can-Car at aged 65 after working 14 years. He loved living in Canada, but never forgot his roots. He always helped his family overseas by sending packages and money. He also invited family from his homeland to come see him.

He was a member of the Ukrainian Port Arthur Prosvita where he liked to spend time after work with his friends.

Jaroslaw is survived by his son Anatoli “Tony” (Iryna) Iwanyszyn; grandson David Anthony (Kateryna); great grandchildren David Alexander and Marko Yaroslav. He was predeceased by his wife Valentina in 1994; daughter Ludmilla in 1957; grandson Jeffery Alexander in 1980; two brothers and two sisters in Ukraine.

Funeral Services for the late Mr. Jaroslaw Iwanyszyn will be held on Thursday, November 29, 2012 at 10:00AM in the EVEREST FUNERAL CHAPEL, 299 Waverley Street at Algoma officiated by Father Vladimir Chvets. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM in the Everest Chapel with Panachyda being offered at 7:00PM.

Should friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ontario Lung Association or to a charity of your choice.
