Obituary for Mrs. Joanne Ezowske (Elliott)

Mrs. Joanne Ezowske (Elliott)
JOANNE EZOWSKE (ELLIOTT)
JULY 16, 1943- JUNE 11, 2018

With the heaviest of hearts we watched my beloved wife and best friend leave us on Monday, June 11, 2018, after
an 8 year battle with cancer. Oh boy how she battled it with so much determination to beat it.
Joanne had many passions. A fishing rod in her hand and telling of the "Big One" that got away.
Elvis and Bingo were always near the top. No drink was ever better than a cold Pepsi. She was a stay at home mom
raising our kids. She loved being in the kitchen baking the next winning loaf of bread for the Hymers Fair.
Her passion for baking carried on when she returned to work at Tim Horton's as the baker, again baking beautiful cakes.
Survived by her husband David for 50 wonderful years, also survived by her daughter Kelly (Rod) Hilton, son
Robert Elliott (Linda), daughter Terry (Dwayne) Bolen, son Danny (Carrie), special grandchildren Zach, Megan, Robbie, Olivia,
her sister Carol (Buck) Gray, brothers Joey (Heather) Elliott, Billy (Hope) Elliott and Leo (Rose) Elliott, as well as
numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Joanne was predeceased by parents Joe and Lorrice Elliott and sister Lorraine Freeman.
As per Joanne's wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no service. A private family gathering
will take place at a later date.
Doctors Chan, Faghih, Bezanson, Geores, the nurses on the cancer ward, V.O.N nurses, and nurses in the
I.C.U. Unit, you are all very special people, wish there were more like you.
Also thanks to Shirley at Simpler Times, you were wonderful.
Hope I did not miss too many people.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Simpler Times Cremation Centre, 332 North May Street, Thunder Bay.
