Mrs. Mila Sisko, age 88 years, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 in Hogarth Riverview Manor.

Mila was born on September 22, 1929 in Kamensko, Croatia to Ivan and Veronika Krolo. She emigrated to Canada with her son in 1966 to join her husband, Dobroslav. Mila worked for various cleaning businesses over the years. Mila was a member of the Croatian Hall and was one of the ladies who cooked those delicious meals for banquets, weddings and social gatherings. She was also a member of the Croatian Church and could be found singing in the choir on Sunday mornings. She loved to garden but was the happiest when she was with her grandchildren

Survived by her son, Tomislav (Carol) Sisko; grandchildren David (Erin) and Nicole; great grandchildren Layne and Daya; sister Maca (Mirko) Calusic of Zadar, Croatia and nephews Vinko (Dina) Sisko and Mirko (Mira) Ljubicic of London, Ontario. Numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Predeceased by her husband, Dobroslav (1987); parents, Ivan and Veronika Krolo; sister Iva (Ante) Krolo and brothers, Luka (Marija) Krolo, Pero (Kaja) Krolo and one brother in infancy.

Funeral services for the late Mrs. Mila Sisko will be held on Monday, January 29, 2018 leaving the EVEREST FUNERAL CHAPEL, 299 Waverley Street at Algoma at 9:30AM to the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Croatian Catholic Church for the Funeral Mass at 10:00AM celebrated by Fr. Francisco Blazek. Interment to follow in St. Andrew's Roman Catholic Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday evening after 6:00 PM in the Everest Chapel with the Vigil Prayers offered at 7:00 PM.
