The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Mr. Wallace Rooney can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence: I'm sorry to hear of Mitch's father's departure, but I'm sorry for your loss. This old man and I are the same age, I have seen him several times, know his admirable qualities, he has left the motherland for many years, still miss his hometown, whenever there is an English program he must watch. His life is rigorous and his work is well-behaved, which is inseparable from his experience as an iron worker. He is honest and kind

Condolence: I love you Grandpa. You were a fantasatic husband, fatwher, and grandfather. I know you were a man of very few words, but your actions very obviously showed how important family was to you.

From the endless treats and toys you gave Shelby and I when we were young, to the very generous birthday and Christmas presents we still recieve to this day. In all cases your actions spoke volumes. The huge smile on your face every time Shelby or I called or visited was another way we knew how much you cared.

I have many found memories of our time spent together but by far my favourite is the trip the 2 of us took to visit the Yukon. I had never seen you so happy! Tim Horton’s breakfast sandwhiches on the boardwalk over looking the Yukon River. I’m sure you could have sat there all day and been the happiest man alive!

Every time I drink a whiskey or watch a Montreal Canadians game I will be thinking of you. You will be greatly missed.
