Obituary for Dylan Joe Francis Moonias

Dylan Joe Francis Moonias, age 21 years, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 23, 2017 in Thunder Bay, Ontario.

Dylan was born on January 28, 1996 in Thunder Bay. He was a passionate artist and loved drawing, writing and photography. He was adventurous with a great sense of humour and had a kind hearted soul. Dylan saved his family from a house fire the week before his passing, when he put out a fire in their apartment building, all while having one arm in a sling because of a broken collar bone. His polite demeanour and helpful nature will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Dylan will be sadly missed by his beloved Kerri Fiddler; his parents Elaine Bedwash and Eugene Moonias; sisters Eugena (Mason), Lovena and Rasheda; his brother Mr. Lee; nephew Asher and grandfather Joe Moonias. Numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives also survive.

Predeceased by his grandparents Lizzie and Francis Bedwash-Loon, Julie Moonias; great-grandparents Jim and Agnes Wenjack and cousins Aaron Loon and Shaurora Loon.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, September 29, 2017 at 11:00 am, in the Everest Funeral Chapel, 299 Waverley Street at Algoma followed by burial in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation from 10:00 am Friday until service time.
If friends so desire, donations may be made to Street Reach Thunder Bay.

Oh, Great Spirit,
whose voice I hear in the wind and whose breath gives life to all the world, hear me.
I am small and weak.
I need your strength and wisdom.
Let me walk in beauty and make my eyes behold the red and purple sunset.
Make my hands respect the things you have made and my ears sharp to hear your voice.
Make me wise so that I may understand the things you have taught my people.
I seek strength, not to be superior to my brothers and sisters
but to fight my greatest enemy - myself.
So when life fades, as a fading sunset,
my spirit will come to you without shame.
