It is with great sadness that the family of announces the passing of Edward Murphy Bouchard Sr.(Boris), age 62 years, on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 in TBRHSC. Murphy Sr was born in Gull Bay First Nation, Ontario on May 20, 1955. He was a very caring man and took great joy in helping family and friends. He loved his hunting and fishing with family and going out on the lake. He was the Butcher out of the family with his nephew David. Murphy was the Police Commissioner of Gull Bay and also served on the Gull Bay Council. He cared so much about his community and started the Goodwill Hockey Tournament which runs til this day. He enjoyed quoting his favourite movies, loved organizing various tournaments and also enjoyed visiting family and friends in the community and making people laugh.
Murphy is survived by Florence and Edith Bouchard; his children Murphy Jr. (Trish);grandson Brayden (Mylo); Lisa; granddaughters Gabby and Raquel (Miles), and great granddaughter Ava; Stuart (Corrina); granddaughters Shanelle, Kendra, Llia, Maddy, Aubrey, Pierson and stepchildren, Alauria, Shannita, Henrik; Brad (Wade), Thunda, Jayde, Miranda (Kevin); grandchildren Destiny, Angel, Kevin Jr., Keith, Peyton, Carmen, Blake, Athena; Rebecca (Harmon); granddaughter Ryan Raine; siblings Patrick (Anne Marie), Lester (Lorna), Charlie (Julia), Norma, Boy, Tony (Karen), Sheila, Larry (Shannon) and numerous other nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his daughter Karla, grandson Kemper, parents Josephine and Norman, siblings Gladys and Merle and nephews Vincent, David and Tanner.
Funeral services for the late Mr. Edward Murphy Bouchard will be held Monday, August 14, 2017 at 2:00 pm in St. Kateri Church in Gull Bay First Nation. Interment will follow in Gull Bay Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will take place at his residence, Saturday afternoon and continue until service time.
