It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Mr. Glenn Peters Matasawagon, age 55 years, on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 in Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.

Glenn was born in Geraldton, Ontario on June 6, 1962. He was a very caring man and took great joy in helping family and friends, and was his mother's caretaker during the last few years of her life. He enjoyed working on friends and relatives vehicles and loved spending time with his dog, Mukwa and cat, Tiger.

Glenn is survived by his siblings, Brian, Grace, Ron and Daley; nieces, Joanie, Alexis and Brianna; nephew, Brett; great nephew, Gavin and great nieces Lauren and Meira Paige.

He was predeceased by his parents, Alice and Alex; grandparents Michael and Marie, Jane and Joseph and siblings Genevieve and Dale.

Visitation for the late Mr. Glenn Matasawagon will be held in Thunder Bay on Saturday, August 12, 2017 in the EVEREST FUNERAL CHAPEL, 299 Waverley Street at Algoma from 11:00am until 1:00pm.

Funeral services will be held in Aroland First Nation at 11:00am on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 in the Johnny Therriault Memorial School. Interment will follow in Aroland Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will begin at 11:00am on Monday, August 14, 2017 and continue until service time.
