ADELINE VICTORIA TREWIN
February 6, 1926 – August 6, 2017

Mrs. Adeline Victoria Trewin, age 91 years, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 6, 2017 in St. Joseph's Hospice.

Adeline was born in Kenora on February 6, 1926. She moved to Fort William after graduating high school in 1943. She met Wilfred Norman Trewin and they were married on July 9, 1947, spending over 57 years together until his passing in 2005. Adeline, a loving wife, dedicated her life to taking care of their three daughters and the family home. Together, they enjoyed many happy times at their camp at Burchell Lake. Adeline enjoyed baking and made the best pies! She was an avid bowler playing in mixed and ladies leagues into her 70’s. Her knitting club began as a group of young ladies in their 20’s and ended when she was 85. Adeline remained in the family home until 2010 when she moved into McKellar Place. Here she enjoyed the company of her ladies' group having their afternoon coffee, eating dinner with her friend Mary and attending bingo & other events. She was loved by all who knew her and had a great sense of humour. She was an elegant lady!

Adeline will be deeply missed by her daughters: Beverly (Dan) Priestley, Barbara (Don) Stacey and Sharon Trewin-Kanto (Dwayne); grandchildren: Lesley Garton, Stacey Garton (Ismo Putkuri), Amanda (Derek) Smith, Daniel (Jamie) DeAgazio and D.J. Priestley as well as 8 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings: Katherine (Mel) Henton and Don (Rae) Milliard; sister-in-law Diane Milliard, sisters-in-law & brothers-in-laws: Gwen (Murdo) MacNiven, Glen (Audrey) Trewin as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Wilfred; parents John and Esther Milliard; siblings John (Gloria) Milliard, Ralph Milliard, Clarence “Bub” (Stella) Milliard, Margaret (Vic) Sisson and Millie (Tom) Wheeler; father-in-law and mother-in-law Norman and Mabel Trewin as well as her brother-in-law & sister-in-law Albert (Norah) Trewin.

Funeral Services for the late Mrs. Adeline Trewin will be held on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at 11:00am in the WESTFORT CHAPEL, 420 Gore Street West at James with Rev. Jonathan Blanchard officiating.
