Obituary for Mrs. Norma Vera Vina Anderson (Cook)

NORMA VERA VINA ANDERSON
December 15, 1923 – August 2, 2017

Norma Vera Vina Anderson (nee Cook) passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully in hospital on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 with her family by her side. She was 93 years young. Norma was an amazing mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

In her early years, Norma was a “Rosie the Riveter” for the Canada Car. Following her marriage to Ronald James MacNab Anderson, she devoted her life to her family and her home.

Norma loved her day trips “south” to play Keno and Bingo. She was kind to everyone and was adored by so many. She was an active grandmother, always babysitting and sharing her love. Her great-grandchildren brought her so much joy. She loved to see them and talk about their accomplishments.

Living in Sister Leila Greco Apartments, Norma made many friends and was an active participant in all of the activities, bingo being her favourite. She was a shining light and was always smiling. Norma was a social butterfly and made friends with everyone.

Norma will be deeply missed by her daughter Karen (Don) Bergman and grandchildren Erika (Peter) Hachey, Kyle (Anna) Bergman and Danny (Sarah) Bergman; daughter Kathy and grandchildren Jesse (Julie) Einarson, Jacob (Brittany Kube) Einarson, Nicole Kosolowski (Terrence Aho) and Keenan Kosolowski (Chelsea Lewis) as well as her great loves, her great-grandchildren Brielle, Liam, Kalum, Hannah, Ethan, Carter, Colten and Ivy. She is also survived by her sisters Lorena (Frank) Brown and Wilma Best and her very special niece Lynda Roussel.

She was predeceased by her husband Ronald Anderson; infant daughter Linda and sisters Evelyn, Iris, Muriel, Edna and Audrey.

Funeral Services for the late Mrs. Norma Anderson will be held on Friday, August 11, 2017 at 11:00am in the WESTFORT CHAPEL, 420 West Gore Street at James. Interment will follow in Mountainview Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00pm in the Chapel.

Should friends so desire, donations made in memory of Norma to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Diabetes Association or Make a Wish Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
