Mr. Henning Erik  Grann
GRANN- Mr. Henning Erik Grann, age 85 years passed away on Thurs July 6, 2017 in St. Joseph’s Hospital. Henning was born Aug 31, 1931 in Denmark.
He came to Canada in 1951 with his brother Ove and settled in the Pass Lake area. Three of his brothers were in Canada already and their parents and three siblings arrived 2 weeks later.
He worked in the wood industry, trucking and eventually purchasing his own truck. Later in life he enjoyed his horses , gardening and long walks in the bush.
He moved to Thunder Bay in 2015 and explored the whole city .
Henning loved to tell his stories of coming to Canada and how it was in the old days to anyone who would listen.
Henning is survived by his daughter Janet Poulsen(Denmark) 2 grandchildren
Mike & Jessie Poulsen(Denmark). Four sisters, Ingrid Grann, Methe Christensen,
Kirsten Mork, Tinna Maarup and brother Leif (Gail)Grann, sister-in-law Inge Grann and Phyllis Grann. Henning is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his son Mike, parents Jorgen and Anna Grann, brothers Harry, Ernest ,Benth, Verner and Ove.
In accordance with Hennings wishes cremation has taken place. Funeral services will be held at Pass Lake Salem Lutheran Church on Wednesday July 19,2017 at 2:00 pm with Pastor David Knudson officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to Salem Lutheran Church, Pass Lake Vol. Fire Dept. , Pass Lake Community Hall or a charity of your choice.
