Brian Allan Pervais, age 52, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 in Edgartown, MA on Martha’s Vineyard. He was an amazing son, father, brother, uncle and friend who will be greatly missed. Words are not enough to share how treasured he was to his family and friends.

Brian was born on March 11, 1965 in Port Alice, British Columbia on Vancouver Island. He was the youngest of six children of Mel Pervais and the late Patricia Pervais. He attended Abington High School in Abington, Pennsylvania and Arizona State University and subsequently lived in many places throughout his life including British Columbia, Upstate New York, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Florida, Montana, and most recently Arizona. Brian was a member of Fort William First Nation, and devoted his life to family. He was passionate about golf. He started swinging a club in high school, and went on to win many awards along the way. His love of golf gave him a life worthy of a hole in one.

Brian will be remembered for his generous spirit, fun loving ways, and making the best of any situation.

Brian is survived by his daughter, Jazmin of Hamilton, Montana; father, Mel Pervais of Ellijay, GA; five siblings - Lydia Kuchefski (Ken) of Danville, IL, Desmond Pervais of Toronto, Ontario, Craig Pervais (Paula) of Draper, Utah, Colette van Breems (Martin) of Fairfield, CT, Claudette Lebowitz (Arthur) of Cheshire, CT; six nieces and nephews – Jennifer, Brittany, Melvin, Mazie, Jacob and Hailey.

Funeral services for the late Brian Pervais will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2017 with family and friends gathering in St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church, 126 Mission Road, Fort William First Nation for the Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. celebrated by Fr. Larry Kroker, sj. A private burial will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Westfort Chapel, 420 West Gore Street at James.
