Jesus and his angels has taken Mom home to be with Dad.

Twenty-Three years to the day, our Mom has been reunited with her beloved husband Arthur. Mrs. Dolores Eleanor Goch (nee Vantour), age 88 years, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 22, 2017 in Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, with her family by her side.

Dolores was born on April 11, 1929 in Fort William to Lionel and Rose Vantour. Mom attended St. Martin's School and it was here that she met the love of her life, Arthur Goch, who would go on to be her husband of 46 years.

Mom actively served her church and community as a member of the Catholic Women's League, receiving her 50 year pin. She was also a member of the Canadian Daughters League #34 and held office as President, Provincial President and than National President, earning her 50 year diamond pin for dedication and service.

Mom filled her life with travel, volunteering, community service, hobbies, friends and closest to her heart, her family. She loved her outings with her BFF's Verna and Rita at Club Cappacino and long rides in the country.

Dolores will be deeply missed by her children Charlene (Ray) Habel, Robert (BettyLou) Goch, Joanne (Bob) Wills, Sandra (Mike) Thomson, Carolann Jankovic (Ljubo) and Arthur (Lori) Goch Jr.; eleven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Gus Vantour as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was predeceased by her loving husband Arthur Goch (May 22, 1994); her parents Lionel and Rose Vantour; two sisters Estelle Stefanato and Bernice Deswiage and two brothers, Ken and Lawrence Vantour.

Funeral Services and a Celebration of Dolores' Life will be held on Thursday, May 25, 2017 with family and friends gathering in St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church, for the Funeral Mass at 12:10PM, celebrated by Father Jerin Louis. Interment will take place in Mountainview Cemetery at a later date. Should friends so desire, donations made in memory of Dolores to the Alzheimer Society of Thunder Bay would be greatly appreciated.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Westfort Chapel, 420 West Gore Street at James.
