Mrs. Mary Anne Lenton, age 73 years, passed away peacefully with her husband by her side on Thursday, May 4, 2017 in St. Joseph's Hospice.

Mary was born in O'Connor Township on July 29, 1943 to Neil and Margaret Ross. She worked for Loblaws, A&P and then as a secretary for their family business, Gerry's Job Site Trailers until retirement. She was a dedicated and hard worker. She loved her family and spending time playing with her grandchildren. In her younger years, Mary enjoyed camping and bowling. She was very proud to have been the first female President of the Lions Club in Thunder Bay. Mary had a heart of gold who made friends easily and will be missed by many.

Mary is survived by her husband of 56 years, Gerry; her three children Gary, Joe and Linda Gillis (Frank Miele); grandchildren Brian, Cody, Stephanie, Krystal and Sember; great-grandchildren Owen, Avery, Erin and Aidan; siblings, Shirley (Gordon) Peel, June Gordon and George Ross. Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Predeceased by her parents; step-father Bill Graham and her parents in-law Howard and Ida Lenton.

Funeral services for the late Mrs. Mary Lenton will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, May 13, 2017 in the WESTFORT CHAPEL, 420 West Gore Street at James with the Rev. Randy Boyd officiating.
