Obituary for Mrs. Maria DeSantis (Cuconato)
DESANTIS
Mrs. Maria DeSantis, age 79 years, passed away peacefully on May 1st, 2017 in Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, with her family by her side.
Maria was born in Cosenza, Italy on June 11, 1937. Maria is survived by her son, Lou DeSantis, daughter in law Tresa DeSantis and three granddaughters; Emily, Amanda and Grace. Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Pietro; her parents Stan and Antionetta and brothers; Mario and Rocco.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, May 4th, 2017 from 9:00 until 10:15 am in the EVEREST FUNERAL CHAPEL, 299 Waverley Street at Algoma followed by a procession to St. Andrew's Catholic Cemetery for a graveside service at 10:30 am, officiated by Father Luigi Filippini.
Should friends so desire, donations made in memory of Maria to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
